DUOtrix price cut, now 200 MSP   31 March 2009

We’ve decided to cut the price on DUOtrix to 200 MSP. This is down from the original 400 MSP price. If you were on the fence about buying DUOtrix this price cut should hopefully convince you to get the full game. Also: tell your friends, k?

Let’s ignore the fact that they got the price on DUOtrix wrong, eh?

Using the data presented in the report, we’ve decided to cut the price on DUOtrix for two reasons:

• The conversion rate for DUOtrix is one of the lowest on the platform. Conversely, the number of trials is pretty high. We figure people probably enjoy the game and/or find it appealing (thus the high number of trial downloads), but perceive it as too expensive.

• Looking at the sales graph from my last post, it looks like a bulk of the sales have already happened. By cutting the price now, we should be able to get a renewed interest in DUOtrix among players who were on the fence about it. With a larger player-base, word of mouth should help our sales.
